Missing a single tooth or a few teeth

An implant functions the same way the root of your tooth functions. It supports the crown, the chewing portion of your tooth that you see when you smile. If you are missing several teeth in a row, multiple implants can be placed for individual crowns or as a bridge. After the implant is placed and is fully healed into your bone, an Abutment is then screwed into the implant. Once fully healed a crown is then attached to the implant abutment. Implants are the most predictable, long lasting, BEST solution for missing teeth.

Scaling and Root Planing

A very thorough version of a dental cleaning, this is an initial treatment designed to remove all biofilm (soft plaque) and calculus (tartar) from above, and within the deep pockets of the gum line.

Soft Tissue Grafts

This is the most common method utilized to treat and prevent root exposure. During the procedure Dr. Grimard will use donor tissue or soft tissue from the patient’s palate  to cover the exposed root of one or more teeth. There are several different types of grafts that can be done: connective tissue grafts, gingival grafts and pedicle grafts. Depending on your specific situation, Dr. Grimard will recommend the graft procedure that’s ideal for you.
